Tier 2 Strategies / Interventions

Tier 2 Interventions: Who are they for:

• Students who exhibit difficulties despite proactive school-wide prevention efforts
• Likely to be students with both academic and behavioral difficulties
• Approximately 10% of school population

Examples of behaviors that may warrant Tier 2 interventions:

• Chronic disruption
• Chronic talking out of turn in class
• Frequently unprepared for class
• Frequent disrespect towards adults and peers
• Chronic inappropriate language
• Tardies
• Defiance
• Refuses to do work
• Difficulty taking turns
• Refusing to share
• Chronic out of seat
