Tier 2 Strategies / Interventions
Tier 2 Interventions: Who are they for:
- Students who exhibit difficulties despite proactive school-wide prevention efforts
- Likely to be students with both academic and behavioral difficulties
- Approximately 10% of school population
Examples of behaviors that may warrant Tier 2 interventions:
- Chronic disruption
- Chronic talking out of turn in class
- Frequently unprepared for class
- Frequent disrespect towards adults and peers
- Chronic inappropriate language
- Tardies
- Defiance
- Refuses to do work
- Difficulty taking turns
- Refusing to share
- Chronic out of seat
